Businessman Dan Sucu takes over 50 pct of shares of FC Rapid football club

Businessman Dan Sucu took over 50 percent of the shares of FC Rapid football club, the other 50 percent remaining in the possession of Victor Angelescu, informs the Giulesti group in a press release published on Tuesday, on their official website.

"Mr. Dan Sucu is the new shareholder of FC Rapid Bucharest, owning 50 percent of the club's shares, the other 50 percent being owned by Victor Angelescu," the cited release reads.

The new shareholder stated that he wants FC Rapid to fight for the champion title every year. He intends for FC Rapid to support itself independently, and for the players and employees of the club to be paid on time.

"We want Rapid to be an example in League 1, a club that lives up to its promises. Club players and employees should be well paid and without delays, and contracts signed with partners should be honored exactly and without exception. We also want Rapid to support itself independently and never stand with their hand out for public money. Moreover, we pay our taxes to the state and the community, and we are not interested in being protected by any politician. We wish so much for Rapid, and it will not be easy, but we all know that when you really want something you will find the right solution to succeed," added Sucu, the owner of the Mobexpert group, with activities in production and furniture retail.
