Promotions at NNDKP

Nestor Nestor Diculescu Kingston Petersen (NNDKP) announced the 2020 class of promotions.

Roxana Abrașu (Employment & Labour) was promoted to Partner.
Ștefan Ionescu (Banking & Finance) was promoted to Managing Associate.
Emanuel Flechea, Mihai Fifoiu and Vladimir Plugărescu (Corporate/M&A, Energy and natural resources) were promoted to Senior Associate.

NNDKP is an integrated legal & tax team comprised of 32 partners, over 100 lawyers and tax consultants and 70 employees in the supporting departments, working out of the firm’s offices located in Bucharest and its regional offices.

Information on the promoted colleagues:

Roxana Abrașu, Partner, Head of Employment & Labor Law practice
Roxana has over 13 years of professional experience in employment and labor law and has been part of the NNDKP team since 2010.
She has extensive knowledge and experience assisting both private Romanian and foreign clients on the full range of employment matters, either in the context of major projects or during regular business activity.
Roxana provides expert advice in relation to individual and collective labour relationships, being called to implement HR strategy, anticipate legal issues and reduce legal risks in the context of enforcement of business strategies.
Her work includes advising and coordinating the implementation of internal rules,  individual and collective dismissal processes due to redesign or downsize of activity, all range of termination of employment, implementing local transfer of businesses and transnational ones, conducting collective negotiations, dealing with discrimination and harassment claims, implementation of restrictive covenants clauses (employees’ non-competition, post-employment non-solicitation and confidentiality obligations), preparing the strategy and back-up documentation in employment claims.
Legal500 recognizes Roxana as a “Recommended Individual” in the area of Employment and Labor law.

Ștefan Ionescu, Managing Associate
Ștefan has over 10 years of experience in transactional and consultancy work for financial institutions as well as investors and large corporates.
He has worked intensively in local and international financing and debt restructuring deals (with a combined value exceeding €2.5bn) and has also been consistently involved in regulatory matters in the banking and capital markets sector.
Ștefan is specialized in syndicated finance transactions (investment grade, leveraged financing and real estate financing) and is known for deal driven and constructive solutions in complex negotiations. His recent industry focus includes real estate, agribusiness and FMCG.  
Ștefan is also qualified as an English lawyer and is recommended by reputed international publications such as Chambers & Partners and IFLR and is included in their ”Rising star” and ”Attorneys to watch” categories, respectively.
He holds two Master’s degrees, in banking and finance law, obtained in Paris at the Paris 1 Panthéon -Sorbonne University, and in European business law from the French-Romanian College of European Studies.

Mihai Fifoiu, Senior Associate
Mihai has over seven years of professional experience in the legal field.
His expertise covers various aspects of corporate and commercial law, with focus on mergers and acquisitions. Mihai provides legal assistance during due diligence analysis and transaction structuring, including drafting, reviewing and amending various contracts and corporate documents.
Also, his expertise includes energy and natural resources related aspects.
He holds a Master Degree in Business Law from the University of Bucharest Law School.

Emanuel Flechea, Senior Associate
Emanuel has six years of professional experience in energy and corporate/M&A matters.
He advises clients from diverse industries in relation to energy law, energy efficiency, renewable energy projects, oil & gas resources industry and other complex regulatory matters.
Emanuel contributes to numerous M&A transactions across industry sectors, and assists clients in relation to due diligence reviews, drafting and negotiation of relevant contracts. Also, he is involved in projects regarding distressed assets and insolvency procedures. He provides legal assistance to companies in relation to insurance and private pensions aspects, too.
Emanuel has a Master Degree in Business Law from the Faculty of Law of the University of Bucharest.

Vladimir Plugărescu, Senior Associate
Vladimir has seven years of professional experience in energy and corporate/M&A matters.
His expertise covers corporate and commercial law matters, including mergers and acquisitions, sale and exit strategies, corporate reorganization and various industry specific contracts.
Also, Vladimir provides legal assistance on the energy law related aspects, renewable energy projects, energy efficiency, as well as other regulatory matters pertaining to the energy and oil & gas resources industry sectors.
