Țuca Zbârcea & Asociații, Carrefour’s lawyers in the successful completion of Cora’s acquisition

The transaction by which the French retailer Carrefour acquired the local subsidiary operating in Romania under the "CORA" brand from the Louis Delhaize Group has reached its final stage. Țuca Zbârcea & Asociații lawyers provided legal assistance throughout the acquisition and closing process.

Carrefour Romania has completed the acquisition of ten Cora hypermarkets and nine Cora Urban stores under the agreement signed with Louis Delhaize Group in April this year.

A multidisciplinary legal team from Țuca Zbârcea & Asociații provided legal assistance to Carrefour Group in all phases of the acquisition process, including the negotiation and execution of the transaction documents, and the fulfilment of the conditions for closing the transaction.

The team was led by Răzvan Gheorghiu-Testa (Partner), together with Horia Ispas (Partner) and Raluca Vasilache (Partner), and it included Veronica Aman (Managing Associate) and Ștefania Șerban (Senior Associate).
