Citu: PNRR is under negotiations; it was not rejected by the EC, I think it is about remodeling it

Prime Minister Florin Citu said on Thursday that Romania is in negotiations with the European Commission for the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR) and that it is not true that it was rejected, but only a remodeling of this plan was discussed.

The head of the Executive was asked at a press conference whether the PNRR should be amended to be approved by the European Commission, given that irrigation and infrastructure projects would not be accepted by the Commission.

"The Minister of European Investments and Projects was there last week, there is a negotiation. We presented a plan, the European Commission came with comments, we come back with these comments. I wouldn't say that the European Commission refused something, because it's not true, there is no way this can happen. I think it is a matter of remodeling what we have in our recovery and resilience plan, so that it fits exactly the patterns that the European Commission is taking into account. So, I see no problem here," Florin Citu underlined at Victoria Palace.
