REGINA MARIA – The healthcare network, the leading company in medical service quality in Romania, together with MediGroup, the leading private healthcare provider in Serbia, announces the largest transaction in the medical market of Central and Eastern Europe, as they join Mehiläinen Group, the largest private healthcare provider in Finland. With a history of over 115 years in the medical field and an expanding international presence, the group is acquiring 100% of the shares of REGINA MARIA and MediGroup from the investment fund MidEuropa.
The new partnership confirms the high development potential of the healthcare market in Romania and the region, marking a new stage in REGINA MARIA’s evolution in a key year that celebrates 30 years since the network’s founding as well as the emergence of private medicine in Romania. The transaction is subject to customary regulatory approvals and is expected to be finalized by the end of this year.
